Pixelated Haverfordwest!

I have grown up loving FIFA games. I have played from FIFA 2003 all the way up to the latest EAFC 25, albeit missing a couple of years. I have never proclaimed myself to be amazing, but at one time, I was holding my own in the online multiplayer world.

Another game I enjoy playing is Football Manager. I always found this a lot harder than the FIFA games, but still very fun. My 10-year dominance with Lyon in Ligue 1 is a personal highlight!

The last few years since following Haverfordwest, I have naturally played in the shoes of Wayne Jones/Nicky Hayen/Tony Pennock, with mixed results in different saves. Winning the League and Cup with Ben Fawcett and Louis Lloyd, with 50 goal contributions between them, was celebrated similarly to when we beat Newtown on penalties at the end of the 2022/23 season!

With a firm interest in football video games and supporting my local team, the breaking news from the club on the 14th August 2024 sparked an interest…

Haverfordwest County are the first Cymru Leagues team to ever appear in a video game of this nature. This is extremely exciting.

With this partnership, the UFL have been this season's sponsor for our training top. With geometric bluebirds in the design and the branding of UFL at the front of the shirt, this is arguably the most iconic shirt we have ever had. Tor Sports has really spoiled us this season with very smart kits.

Fast-forward to March 2025, and our players and training kit are now usable in the game. To be winning midfield battles with Greg and Corey and scoring with Ahmun and Fawcey amongst the highest of footballing echelons is incredible.

I have now played a few games on UFL, and it’s a strange experience, I can’t lie. Despite Jenkins and Alaric being sent off in my first game, I am thoroughly enjoying playing with our local heroes with worldwide footballing superstars.

Below are some selected screenshots of Haverfordwest in the game!
